About Bishop Auckland Referee's

The Bishop Auckland & District Association of Football Referees' was formed in 1905. In 2005, the society marked its centenary with a special celebration event at Bishop Auckland Town Hall. The society attracts members from all over the Wear Valley and County Durham area including Crook, Willington, West Auckland, Spennymoor, Newton Aycliffe and Darlington. We meet every third Thursday of the month in Bishop Auckland Cricket Club. Meetings are friendly and informal, and new members are always welcome. Our members are active referees at all levels of the game, from the Football League to the grassroots. We have a wealth of experience in our ranks and share common interests; we all love football and love refereeing.
